Planting Skin 

Planting skin is a personal project born in self-isolation that explores the relationship between my childhood garden in rural North East England, and members of my family. Growing up in a small farming village with no mobile reception or public transport for ten miles meant that most of our upbringing was spent outside in nature. When I think of home, my immediate thoughts go to the natural environment that surrounds my childhood house. The garden, river, rolling hills and my parents spending hours gardening. This project explores the relationship between how growing plants and spending time outdoors effects members of my families skin, blurring the lines between our bodies and the natural environment.
